Teligent Telecom Doubles Messaging Platform Capacity for Yoigo

Major extension to leading Spanish MNO’s Teligent P90/E platform gives full redundancy for messaging services and will support further rapid subscriber growth

23 February 2012 - Teligent Telecom, a leading provider of intelligent network, call completion, IVR and charging services to global telcos and operators, has completed a major capacity expansion for the network-messaging platform for Yoigo, one of the leading MNOs in Spain.

As well as doubling the capacity of Yoigo’s Teligent P90/E messaging and services platform to support growing demand from Yoigo’s three million subscribers, the upgrade also delivers real-time geographic redundancy, with mirrored messaging systems in Yoigo’s facilities in Barcelona and Madrid. This ensures maximum availability for Yoigo’s subscriber messaging services, from simple missed call alerts to next-generation multimedia messaging. This optimises service access and delivery to users, and protects services against contingencies.
